Additional features make the 2013 Ford Edge even more versatile and enhance the driving experience. With expanded availability of all-wheel drive, a sport mode for the six-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission, plus the latest edition of SYNC with MyFord Touch voice-activated technology, the 2013 Ford Edge crossover offers even more versatility for the new model year.
Standard on the 2013 Edge is the 3.5-liter V6, which produces 285 horsepower and delivers a 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. The Edge Sport, with a 3.7-liter V6, increases performance to 305 horsepower with excellent fuel economy of 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. Each engine in the Edge lineup is mated to a fuel-saving six-speed automatic transmission.
Buyers can choose from among Ford's 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine rated at up to 30 mpg; a 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 with up to 27 mpg; and a 305-horsepower, 3.7-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine. Edge is available in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.
Exclusive to Edge with EcoBoost are aerodynamic enhancements and other technologies to help save fuel, including side door rocker moldings and active grille shutters. Active grille shutters help optimize aerodynamics by using vents to control airflow through the grille to the cooling system and engine compartment.
2013 Edge highlights include the latest-generation SYNC system with MyFord Touch features Wi-Fi capability, text-to-voice, HD Radio with iTunes Tagging and voice-activated Navigation System. New exterior colors include Deep Impact Blue Metallic, Kodiak Brown Metallic and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.
