Powerplants are the 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder that produces 185 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2.0-liter turbo generates approximately 247 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with Sportmatic shifting.
All new for the 2016 model is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine. Pushing out an estimated 178 horsepower and a stout 195 lb.-ft. of torque, the new engine mates to a seven-speed DCT, a first for the Kia brand. The transmission optimizes the engine's responsiveness for a sporty feel.
