The 2016 Jeep Patriot delivers a revised model lineup that focuses on the models and features customers want to purchase, more standard and optional content including an available ParkView rear backup camera, unmatched 4x4 capability in all weather conditions, fuel economy up to 30 miles per gallon (mpg) and more than 30 safety and security features.
To add even more value, new for 2016 the Jeep Patriot Sport offers as standard equipment Uconnect handsfree and SiriusXM Radio. Automatic headlamps are added as a standard feature on 2016 Patriot Latitude models.
A new-for-2016 Sport SE Package includes leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, heated cloth mesh front seats, 17-inch Mineral Gray aluminum wheels, bright exhaust tip, unique Sport SE hood decal, Mineral Gray front and rear bumper inserts, Mineral Gray roof rails, Mineral Gray badges, increased ride height for front-wheel-drive models and tow hooks for 4x4 models.
The Jeep Patriot delivers drivers segment-leading 4x4 capability and excellent fuel efficiency along with rugged exterior styling and clever interior features.
Jeep Patriot is available in three drivetrain configurations. In addition to the standard front-wheel-drive system, it also is available with Freedom Drive I or Freedom Drive II 4x4 systems.
The 2016 Jeep Patriot Sport is powered by the 2.0-liter I-4 World Gas Engine, producing 158 horsepower and 141 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
The optional powertrain is the 2.4-liter I-4 engine, which produces 172-horsepower. Optional transmissions include the CVT2 transmission, the six-speed PowerTech automatic transmission or the CVT2L transmission with the Freedom Drive II Off-road Package that delivers a 19:1 overall crawl ratio.
