About 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport adds a number of exterior and interior enhancements for 2017. Style, value and dependability set the Outlander Sport apart in the compact crossover utility vehicle segment.

The Outlander Sport exterior features Mitsubishi's "Dynamic Shield" front design concept. New 18-inch alloy wheel design, lip wheel moldings and power folding side door mirrors with turn indicator lamps contribute to the sleek new design.

Interior appeal is bolstered with a revised steering wheel, interior seat fabrics, improved 6.1-inch Display Audio System and new auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink.

A poised, comfortable ride and excellent maneuverability are always assured, thanks to the 2017 Outlander Sport's well-engineered suspension system that consists of MacPherson struts with stabilizer bar up front and a multi-link set-up with stabilizer bar at the rear of the vehicle.

The very capable MIVEC variable valve-timing-equipped 148 horsepower 2.0-liter-based drivetrain features a next-generation continuously-variable transmission that now mimics a 7-speed automatic transmission. Not only does it provide better response, performance from a standing start, and a more unified feeling of acceleration, Outlander Sport models equipped with this CVT unit benefit from improved fuel economy.

Other design elements for the Outlander Sport include thick front door glass and sound insulation for the rear quarter panel section of the vehicle, leading to a reduction in the level of noise, vibration and/or harshness (NVH) experienced by the vehicle's occupants.
