About 2022 Chevrolet Trax

The Chevrolet Trax is a stylish compact crossover SUV that offers expressive and contemporary design elements. Trax's appearance reflects the modern face of Chevrolet in its front fascia and proportioned dual-port grille. Sleek headlamps flow around the corners and into the front fenders.

The Trax is offered in LS, LT and Premier models. The Ecotec 1.4-liter turbocharged engine provides small-displacement engine efficiency with the power of a larger engine on demand.

New for the 2022 Trax is a 1.4-liter I-4 engine with direct injection. It is rated at 155 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque, representing a 12-percent increase in horsepower and a nearly 20-percent increase in torque over the previous engine of 138 horsepower and 148 lb.-ft. of torque.

A modified instrument panel is the foundation for the Trax's interior enhancements. It interprets Chevrolet's signature dual-cockpit design more expressively, with an upper dashboard hood that flows uninterrupted across the panel to enhance the perception of spaciousness.

The Chevrolet Trax offers a 7-inch diagonal infotainment system designed to support the latest connectivity technologies, including available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and Wi-Fi hotspot.

Safety features include 10 standard airbags, including side-curtain, knee and rear seat-mounted thorax airbags, and rear-vision camera. The Driver Confidence Package is standard on Premier and available on LT, which includes Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Rear Park Assist. The Driver Confidence II Package is standard on Premier and includes Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning, and StabiliTrak.
